Oct. 17, 2014:  Schools confront reality. Family Guidance Center will work with the school district to provide a psychiatrist and a nurse at Carden Park school one day a week at no cost to the district. This trained staff also will be able to refer students to the regular school counselor for services on the other days of the week, and at times they will make classroom observations in assessing students’ mental health and ability to function in a school setting.

Dec. 30, 2013: Man Who Thought he Was Jesus Found Himself Again. Family Guidance Center is listed as one of the community organizations who made a positive impact on one individual living with a type of mental illness, and helped him manage his symptoms toward a higher quality of life.

Dec. 27, 2013: Program Seeks to Fill Gaps in Mental Health. After two long years of waiting, Family Guidance has acquired a psychiatrist. Although it took a lengthy amount of time to make it happen, some centers are still without.
